Hospitality Waiter

Job Description

The Hospitality General Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality and food service across fine dining, meetings, events and client hospitality areas. The role involves providing professional customer service, setting up and servicing events, maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring all hospitality requests are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver professional hospitality service for meetings, events and fine dining functions.
• Prepare, set up, serve and clear hospitality events, including lunches, dinners, receptions and refreshments.
• Ensure all food safety, HACCP, allergen and health & safety standards are maintained.
• Manage stock, equipment and service areas, ensuring they are clean, organised and fully stocked.
• Support room bookings, administration tasks and customer enquiries as required.Maintain accurate records, complete cleaning schedules and assist with stock takes.
• Handle customer requests professionally and resolve issues where possible.
• Support waste reduction, recycling and sustainability initiatives.
• Work flexibly across hospitality, restaurant and event operations as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality, catering or fine dining experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and allergen management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evening functions.
• Professional appearance and commitment to high standards of service and hygiene.
