About the role 

As Spa Therapist at [Property name], you will offer our guests a range of high quality treatments, including massages, facials, body treatments and other wellness therapies. Your focus will be on relaxing, rejuvenating and therapeutic treatments in a luxurious, personalised setting, while keeping the spa peaceful, clean and welcoming and every treatment to our professional standards.

What you will do

Guest experience

Welcome guests warmly and professionally, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Carry out consultations to understand each guest's preferences and any health considerations or contraindications.

Personalise treatments to each guest's needs and preferences, in line with the spa menu.

Treatments

Deliver a range of massage therapies, such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone and aromatherapy, in line with your training and qualifications.

Carry out body treatments, such as wraps and scrubs, following spa protocols.

Perform facials, skin care and other beauty treatments, where qualified and requested.

Hygiene and cleanliness

Prepare treatment rooms and make sure all spa areas are cleaned and sanitised to hotel standards before and after every treatment.

Check spa supplies regularly and keep them stocked, clean and organised.

Follow safety, sanitation and hygiene protocols for a safe and comfortable environment for guests and colleagues.

Product knowledge and upselling

Share your knowledge of spa products, ingredients and benefits to recommend the right home care products.

Suggest additional treatments and services where appropriate, enhancing the guest experience and helping reach sales targets.

Communicate clearly and professionally with guests about products and treatments.

Requirements

What you will bring 

Proficiency in a range of massage and therapy techniques, with knowledge of skin care, aromatherapy and body treatments.

Knowledge of spa therapies, services and products.

Good spoken English.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Strong attention to detail.

Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

The ability to work in a fast paced environment and stay professional under pressure.

A problem solving approach and the ability to resolve concerns calmly.

At least 1 year of experience as a spa therapist in a luxury spa, hotel or wellness centre is desirable.

A degree or diploma in cosmetology, physiotherapy or a related field is desirable.

A second foreign language is desirable.
