About Us:
Joybow Coffee and Play is a kids social hub and indoor playground designed for children
aged 0 to 7. Within our vibrant space, we host Kaffeine, a specialty shop-in-shop café
serving high-quality coffee, freshly made bagels, and healthy snacks. We are currently
looking for a professional and enthusiastic Lead Barista / Café Manager to take full
ownership of our bar operations and lead our team to success.
The Role:
As the Lead Barista / Café Manager, you will be accountable for the seamless daily
operation of the bar. You will ensure that every cup of coffee, other beverages, and cold
snacks served meet our top-tier standards for quality and consistency. We are looking for a
leader with great communication skills, exceptional customer service, and a strong teamwork
spirit who can effectively manage and inspire our team while maintaining a high-energy,
family-friendly atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
● Barista Duties & Floor Leadership: Cover shifts based on operational demand,
maintaining a strong, hands-on presence on the floor. Act as the shift leader and
serve as a role model for the team by demonstrating a strong work ethic, delivering
exceptional customer service, and maintaining a deep understanding of daily café
operations and deliverables.
● Operational Management: Oversee all bar operations, ensuring consistent quality
and top-standard presentation for coffee and food.
● Team Leadership: Manage staff schedules and shifts, providing guidance and
motivation to maintain a high level of performance.
● Inventory & Ordering: Maintain accurate stock records and manage orders to
ensure the café is always fully equipped.
● Customer Excellence: Utilize strong communication and customer service skills to
build relationships with families and resolve any customer or staff issues promptly
and professionally.
● Compliance & Safety: Conduct and oversee all Health & Safety protocols and
preparation standards for coffee and all other products.
● Quality Control: Ensure every barista follows our specific recipes and techniques for
specialty coffee and fresh bagels.
● Report directly to shareholders on operational and financial performance
Requirements
● Experience: Proven track record in café management or a senior supervisory role,
ideally within the food and beverage industry.
● Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage human resources, resolve conflicts, and
foster a positive team environment.
● Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills in both Greek and English
● Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for stock levels, cleanliness, and the technical details
of specialty coffee brewing.
● Adaptability: Comfortable working in a bustling, family-oriented environment with
children and parents.
